Event Overview:

Majorette and baton twirlers from around the globe will come together for an exclusive three-day summer training, led by world-class baton twirling champions. Whether the twirler is a new starter or a premier twirler, this event offers the perfect opportunity to perfect your skills, make lifelong connections with fellow twirlers, and immerse yourself in the world-wide baton twirling community.

• Expert Training: Twirlers will learn from the best baton twirling champions who will share their expertise, techniques, and tricks to elevate your skills.
• Fun, Inclusive Environment: All are encouraged to embrace the joy of learning and growing with fellow twirlers of all skill levels, in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
• Global Community: Twirlers will experience the excitement of being part of a world-wide baton twirling community. Meet twirlers from all over the world, and exchange stories and skills.
• Workshops & Masterclasses: Twirlers will engage in specialised workshops focused on technique, choreography, and performance skills. These will be tailored for different skill levels, from starter to premier competitors.
• Social Media Exposure: Champions, coaches, troupe leaders and twirlers will be encouraged to showcase their journey through exclusive behind-the-scenes content, event highlights, and daily social media shout-outs. The champions that we are planning to fly in for the event both have over 18K global followers on social media. 
• Parent/Career-Twirler Engagement: Special sessions for parents/careers to get involved in the twirling world and bond with their children through fun activities.

Promotion Strategy:

To attract participants, leverage a blend of social media, partnerships with majorette and baton twirling clubs, and targeted advertising. Here’s how you could promote your company through the event:

Social Media Campaign:

1. Hashtag Creation: #TwirlForTheStars. We will encourage participants and followers to use the hashtag for event updates, behind-the-scenes content, and during the event itself.
2. Countdown: A countdown campaign across social media with teaser videos of past events, testimonials from world champions, and sneak peeks of the event. Company sponsor logos will be visible.

Samantha Brightwell

Professionally, I work for the NHS as a Nurse and as a Positive Psychologist. I have many years experience with finance, procurement and project management for Business and Majorette and Baton Twirling events. The majority of events were for a previous organisation that has since closed due to President retiring and since 2023 myself and Jody have set up and continued to run our own organisation successfully.

 

In 1979, my nan took me to my first baton twirling lesson and my love for twirling grew from there. During my twirling career I won many awards, titles and appeared on TV. From this I provide credibility to Majorette and Baton Twirling events.

Professionally, I consult companies on promotional and devlopment. 

 

I started twirling 1989,  in 1999 I took over as Troupe Leader and Trainer at the Crystal Coronets Majorettes based in Hockley fulfilling an ambition to run my own majorette team. Following this I achieved my dream of becoming a Judge, Examiner and Instructor. I’ve been lucky enough to compete over many years achieving many major awards in my twirling career including Supreme Twirler in 2001. Many troupes have joined our new organisation due the credibility we bring.

Between us we run the Majorette and Twirling Union:

The Majorette & Twirling Union (MTU) is built upon and upheld by the core values of integrity, unity, passion, joy and excellence. We believe in working with integrity and demonstrating a wholeness of character in every action and plan. We act in unity, valuing teamwork in all relationships. Passion drives every facet of the MTU, carrying out competitions and activities with power and purpose. The MTU strives to spark joy by cultivating memories filled with pleasure and delight for the entire community. Finally, the culmination of all these values leads to excellence in all our endeavours. Guided by these core values, our Voluntary Directors, Troupes and Members are encouraged to demonstrate this wholeness of character, teamwork, developing power and purpose, and inspiring pleasure and delight from each twirler. Each of the voluntary MTU Judges, Twirling Consultants and Assessors have been hand-selected upon a set of stringent criteria. At the same time, our Voluntary Directors & Twirling Consultants work alongside our troupes to help instil the MTU strategy and coaching philosophy supported by these values.

We successfully run competitions throughout the year and an exam system. Our social media presence is also growing.
