About the event

"Jam Buds" is a Friendsgiving style community event as well as a musician's "Jam session". The event is centered around the music and art community in the city of Detroit. giving local artists of different mediums the opportunity to meet and network in a setting that feels like a fun family gathering. Musicians are invited to bring their instruments and jam together, artists are invited to bring their artwork for display, and the community is invited to bring their appetite! There will be food, artwork, and even games to play.

The Common Room Detroit is an art collective with the goal of bridging the art community in Detroit. We want to bring both up and coming artists as well as already established artists together on common ground. We believe that this will foster deep connections, mentoship, and partnership. Our focus is on collaboration across mediums and making artistic expression accessible to everyone. Founded by a musician/producer, a multi disciplined visual artist, and a photographer with a shared goal of creating space for every kind of creative.
