About the event

This event represents the beginning of an exciting journey. My first international trip dedicated to exploring new areas, immersing myself in stunning landscapes, and capturing the entire adventure through the lens of my camera. As a passionate mountain biker and filmmaker, I’ve set out to combine these two into something truly special: a series of engaging and visually stunning stories that inspire others to pursue adventure and creativity.

The goal of this trip is to document the challenges, beauty, and unique experiences of riding abroad. Through this project, I aim to bring my audience along for the ride—sharing breathtaking locations, the people I meet, and the lessons I learn. My video will serve not just as content for my YouTube channel and Instagram, but as a stepping stone toward my ultimate vision: traveling full-time in a van to film MTB adventures across the world.

This opportunity is more than just a trip; it’s a chance for me to grow as a filmmaker, refine my storytelling, and establish the foundation for future travels. The lessons and experience gained during this journey will directly shape the quality and scale of my future projects, allowing me to showcase better-documented, edited, and thoughtfully planned adventures as I continue to build a community of fellow riders, adventurers, and storytellers.

Hello, my name is Phillip. I'm a 19 year old multimedia creator, who has recently combined both my passions for filmmaking and mountain biking. 

My ultimate aspiration is to travel full-time in a van with my mountain bike, exploring breathtaking locations and uncovering new adventures. Along the way, I aim to document and share my journey; Capturing not just the incredible landscapes, but also my interactions with people, the challenges I face, the funny or unexpected moments, and the vibrant stories of those I meet.

I’ve started my channel and Instagram pages driven by the belief that pursuing your true passions can lead to meaningful success. This philosophy inspires me to fully commit to my craft, collaborate with other creators, organize events, and grow a community of like-minded adventurers, filmmakers, and MTB riders.

This event is the first step in realising that dream. It’s an opportunity to mix the worlds of mountain biking, exploration, and storytelling while showcasing what I do to a wider audience. The experience will also be invaluable for me to hone my skills in documenting, producing, editing, and planning future projects to a professional standard.

I have over seven years of experience as an MTB rider and more than two years of experience in filmmaking. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of working with various clients (highlighted on my LinkedIn) and representing my skills in competitions through my college. While I am confident with a camera, I am also eager to keep learning and improving with input from others.
