About the event

Time For Trades Tour is a youth oriented, music-driven, influencer-enhanced public awareness initiative designed to promote skilled trades careers to Canadian youth/young adults.

The events are tailored to attract young adults(15-30) who are transitioning from post-secondary education to the workforce,youth who weren’t engaged in career planning during the traditional secondary schooling curriculum, youth who didn’t complete their secondary schooling and young adults who are still looking to find a satisfying career. 

The event features hands-on demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and live music, which cater to the interests and preferences of this age group. This ensures that attendees are engaged and receptive to the messages being conveyed.

I'm Craig WIgley.  I’ve helped kids, and even young adults, become apprentices through my small, humble electrical business.But those few people I helped become apprentices….well… there are so many more youth out there to get the word out to about careers in the skilled trades. That’s why I created Time For Trades Tour. To meet youth at their level. On their turf. To let them know there are rewarding careers out there that you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for to become qualified.  Our music-driven, influencer-enhanced festival events provide a fun and relatable way to connect with this demographic.

I'm putting my previous music industry career experience to work with my current skilled trades experience to bring attention to our youth demographic about the rewarding careers that are available in the skilled trades.
